This is a combined position between the groups of the Genetics of Environmental Adaptation and Domestication Genomics to enable rapid dissection of genetic responses to environmental adaptation in cereals. The research will mainly focus on hexaploid wheat along with some cereal orphan crops. We will take advantage of the large number of wild and domesticated accessions that are maintained in the IPK Gene bank to provide genetic diversity to underpin the project’s work.
Your tasks:
• Designing, conducting, analyzing and reporting on experiments which characterize gene function in response to changes in temperature
• Assembling and analyzing genomic sequences of cereals
• Engaging with the research community including through presentations and publication of your research
Your qualifications and skills:
• You hold a PhD in plant sciences or closely related topic.
• You have experience of molecular biology techniques including RNA-seq, cloning and qPCR.
• You have experience in using command line code and analyzing omic data.
You fit to us:
