The Image Analysis research group is engaged in the development of algorithms and software tools for the quantitative characterization (phenotyping) of morphological, physiological and growth-relevant plant traits from multimodal and multidimensional images, including image data from high-throughput greenhouse and field phenotyping, microscopic, tomographic and 3D imaging.

Your tasks:

  • You use algorithms for image analysis by software tools.
  • The manual and semi-automated detection of plant structures (leaves, ears, roots, etc.) is also part of your work.
  • You document and archive the image data.
  • You prepare the image data for further scientific processing.

Your qualifications and skills:

  • You have completed vocational training as IT specialist or a related professional or university degree (BSc.)
  • You are very familiar with using the PC.
  • You are familiar with the basics of image processing.
  • You have basic knowledge of plant biology.
